Braemar Students may focus on English as a Second Language and get a thorough grounding in all the academic English fundamentals—reading complex texts, writing essays, giving presentations and expressing your opinion in debates.

The Braemar Summer Program has been designed for international high school students wishing to have a short term study experience in Canada.  Innovative Academics Students study with us for a focused period, usually during a break, or brief absence, from their home school. Braemar College has designed this program to complement and enrich the work students are doing at their home school.  The Braemar guidance department ensures that the course of study is relevant, comprehensive and accurately evaluated.

Customized Start at any level, from absolute beginner to advanced.  Based on the results of your placement test the guidance team will draw up a customized study plan to make sure you meet your goals.  Students whose first language is not English will likely have to satisfy the English proficiency requirements of Canadian colleges and universities.

Drawing on decades of experience and detailed testing, the team at Braemar College has developed a comprehensive in-house skills  assessment matrix that tracks ESL the progress of every student toward the level of English competence required for the college or  university program of their choice.  Classes are focused, interactive and designed to stimulate students at all English levels. Students in the more advanced courses  (ENG—courses in English literature) would study the poetry, plays, novels and short stories of some of the greatest writers.

Our summer program starts on July 4 and finishes on August 18, 2017.

The classes start at 9AM and lasts until 4PM, the students are getting 27.5 academic hour of in class instruction per week.

What is included: Registration, guardianship, tuition fees, homestay placement, 7 weeks of accommodation, single room 3 meals a day,  Insurance, airport pick up and drop off, certificate upon complexion of the program, 3 excursions: Niagara Falls, Canada’s Wonderland, CN Tower.
