Toronto is well known to be a safe and welcoming city for international students. But according to a comprehensive study by The Economist magazine, Toronto is actually one of safest cities in the world, just slightly behind the over all winner, Copenhagen. “This year Copenhagen comes first,” the authors write, “with 82.4 points out of 100, and Toronto follows close behind with 82.2.” The study takes into account a range of important variables, including digital security and health security, as well as personal security.
