Welcome to our new market manager for Korea and Japan!

Braemar College is delighted to announce the appointment of a new team member as Market and Partnership Manager for Korea and Japan. Tae Yeon Kim brings extensive experience in students services and international education.
Recently we caught up with him to ask a few questions.
Do you have any hobbies?
Definitely! Staying active gives me a lot of motivation and purpose. I’ve always loved swimming and basketball, and fun fact, I’m a huge Raptors fan. WE THE NORTH! These days, I’m really into hiking and running, and I try to get out there every day when I can.
Outside of sports, traveling and reading are two big passions of mine. Whenever I visit a new country, I make a point to find a local bookstore, one that locals actually go to, and pick up a book. It’s my way of bringing a little piece of that culture home with me.
What do you like most about recruiting for Braemar College?
I’ve spent more than ten years living, studying, and working abroad, and one thing I’ve learned is how much it matters to feel welcomed when you’re in a new place. That warmth and sense of belonging can make all the difference. What I love most about Braemar is how genuinely supportive and caring the team is, just like you see in the first photo on the website. It’s not only about academics, it’s about creating a space where students feel seen, heard, and supported. I truly believe that kind of environment allows students to thrive.
What advice would you have for students interested in studying at Braemar College?
Go for it. Be bold, stay curious, and make the most of every opportunity that comes your way. Even in the best environment, your own drive and willingness to get involved are what will lead to real academic success. And beyond the academics, the friendships you build and the diverse experiences you have at Braemar will become some of the most valuable parts of your future. So don’t hold back, dive in and enjoy the journey.
